HR Analytics: A journey and not a project

We view HR Analytics as a journey and not a project:

  • The first step is to create a reliable and repeatable reporting solution to gain the confidence of your information consumers and decision makers. This step can leverage the capabilities of the standard SAP BI solution for headcount and turnover analysis with workforce segmentation, and will also develop the skills and capabilities of your HR analytics team.
  • As the trust and use of the available information grows so will the demand for new information – from both your SAP system and other sources. Your SAP BI reporting solution can be expanded to include additional data sources such SAP financial and operational data, and third party repositories such as employee surveys.
  • You will feel confident in publishing regular reports to the executive and line managers through your enterprise portal. Different audiences can have different style reports such as Dashboards and KPI reports.
  • Over time, your approach to HR information analysis will move from simple reporting to HR analytics such as trend analysis, ‘what if’ scenarios and hypothesis testing.
